Genesis

Greetings, fellow magi.

This Friday we all shall embark upon a grand endeavor – one which shall shake the foundations of the universe as we know it. Each of us shall set forth to expand our power and compete for riches untold. [citation needed]

As we grow in strength, so too do our enemies. Fight as we may, all are bound by the rules of the Tournaverse. On these humble pages will the Tournaverse's history be chronicled.

Let the battle begin.

  1. I am pumped. I am saying it now, I am opening a planeswalker this time (I have never had one).

What are we using for a prize for winning?

Whose place are we doing this at? Mine is available, but as I mentioned before does not have a lot of good MTG space... though it may for a 5 player tourney.

That quote of the moment is HILARIOUS!

I wish I was playing this first round with you all, but this is a great way to go about keeping the games up to date and fresh!

    Great job Jesse!!

  3. I should say that while I did handle the technicalities for the site, Chris was the primary visionary.

  4. Yeah, I was speaking to Chris after I wrote that, this is a good idea.

He said if I had any ideas to let you guys know.

I think that we should keep track of our cards, I can develop a spreadsheet that can help us easily track it over the drafts, and then entering the information online shouldn't be difficult.

This would be helpful for trading between us, or just giving us an idea of what we may be able to do in constructed or something.

  5. We could use, say, Google Docs, which would let us all edit it and see it.

I will make up the list when I can

  7. I really do think we need to think of a prize for winning. If there is no prize for winning then after the first game we will be incentivized to draft cards that help our decks. I think David pointed this out when he first suggested this idea, but how do we get around it?

  8. You don't think that a rank system would work to discourage that?

If not the only other thing I can think of is that the winner wins an extra booster or something.

  9. I think we should come up with some kind of a prize, but I'm not sure that I have any great suggestions as of yet.

  10. Yeah, Chris had the idea of being able to bring one outside card into the internal pool if you win... but I am not sure if that would work or not.
